The spotlight is on you and now you're headline news!

Imagine that you were wrongly accused of a crime or of a situation that was clearly not your fault; whether imaginative or real, write a fractured fairytale explaining your side of the story that reveals or exposes the truth behind your innocence.

Be sure to include:

  • What the crime was
  • Who was involved
  • Where the story takes place
  • Have some dialogue
  • Sensory details
  • Transition words or phrases
  • A conclusion

Reflection:

I was quite excited to try this assignment due to the fact that we had to use a new type of technology and it was something that I had never used or seen before. I did enjoy making my fractured fairytale come alive by narrating it . Hearing myself speak was not very exciting, but I bear through and actually had fun creating my very first Voicethread! I am very glad that I got the opportunity to experience something new that was creative and innovative. I think I will be able to incorporate not only the assignment, but also the technology in my classroom one day. I believe students will enjoy it and have lots of fun creating their own Voicethreads as part of any assignment. I believe that they will think it's something different from the usual of writing a paper.
